Andal Devi Museum Replica Of Copper Idol

Andal, also known as Goda Devi, was a 10th-century Tamil poet and saint, the only female Alvar (a devotee of Lord Vishnu) among the twelve poet-saints. She is considered an incarnation of Bhudevi and is famous for her unwavering devotion to Lord Krishna, symbolized by her poetic works Thiruppavai and Nachiyar Tirumoli, which are recited during the winter festival of Margazhi. Her unique story involves her being found as an infant by her adoptive father, Periyalvar (also known as Vishnucitta), who dedicated his life to her as a devoted Vaishnavite.
